V150 is not adequate for aesthetics. It is a community practitioner qualification with a limited formulary that does not cover cosmetic toxin work. The V300 independent prescribing qualification is the one that makes a nurse self-sufficient in aesthetics, typically a university course of around six months part time costing £2,000 to £3,000.
The V150 confusion is expensive when it goes wrong, because the course costs real money and does not unlock aesthetics prescribing. The V300 does: it lets you consult, prescribe, hold your own emergency kit stock and keep the prescriber fee in-house, which changes your unit economics more than any other qualification.
