No. Every UK regulator bans remote prescribing for cosmetic injectables. The GDC has since 2013, the GMC since 2016, the GPhC strengthened its guidance in February 2025, and the NMC has been explicit since 1 June 2025, including for follow-ups and emergency kit. Anyone offering email or video sign-off is offering you a compliance failure.
This is the most common corner-cutting proposition new practitioners meet, and it fails for everyone involved: the prescriber breaches their regulator’s rules, your insurance is compromised because the prescribing arrangement was invalid, and the patient was never properly assessed.
A compliant arrangement means the prescriber consults the named patient face to face before treatment. The working models that make this practical, and the red flags that should end a conversation immediately, are in finding and working with a prescriber.
