England’s scheme is announced but not operative; Scotland’s regime is statutory but commencing in stages to September 2027; Wales licenses tattooing and SPMU-type special procedures rather than injectables; Northern Ireland has no scheme.
The enforceable rules today are the prescription-only status of toxin (with face-to-face consultation mandated by every professional regulator), the England under-18 ban, advertising law (POMs cannot be promoted to the public) and the general law of consent and negligence. Training and insurance are what make you defensible within them.
