An underserved training vertical
Hair restoration demand has exploded; credible UK training has not. What exists is either thin one-day ‘diplomas’ or nothing. This programme is the serious on-ramp. Three days across theory, assessed labs and live surgery observation, with the compliance module that determines whether your service can lawfully exist.
The three days
Day one, science and assessment
- Hair biology, androgenetic patterning, Norwood/Ludwig staging
- Donor-area mathematics (safe zones, density, lifetime planning)
- A candidate selection workshop, including the consults to decline, medical therapy first-line and SMP alternatives
Day two, FUE technique and labs
- Extraction, covering punch selection, angle and transection minimisation
- The assessed graft handling lab, with storage solutions, out-of-body time and survival discipline
- Site creation and implantation patterns, with hairline design principles on analogues
Day three, live surgery and compliance
- Full live FUE case observation with running faculty commentary
- The UK regulatory map (CQC registration, team roles, premises, anaesthesia limits, insurance)
- Your pathway from here, through mentored cases and fellowship options, with realistic timelines to independent practice
Frequently asked questions
Hair restoration surgery requires a registered doctor to lead care, and the provider must be CQC-registered in England (with equivalents in the devolved nations). Nurses and technicians work within defined roles in the surgical team. Any course implying a non-medic can run transplants independently is mis-selling; our regulation module gives you the precise boundaries in writing.
Experienced UK technicians commonly earn £200–£500 per surgical day, with demand currently exceeding supply. The technician course page covers that route in detail.
Demand is booming, much of it currently flying to Turkey, and domestic provision is thin, while credible UK training barely exists. That is the opportunity; the barrier is doing it compliantly, which is exactly what we teach.
