Aurelia has no Brighton venue and no Brighton trainers. The academy teaches at two sites, London and Manchester. From Brighton that is barely a limitation, because one of those venues is close enough that the journey is the least interesting part of the decision.
Travel from the coast
London from Brighton is a comfortable day trip. You can attend a full practical day and be home the same evening without a punishing start, which is why most people on the Sussex coast never seriously consider the alternative. Manchester from here is a long haul that would realistically mean staying over, and there is no teaching reason to do it. Check current services when you pick a date, since the line has its share of disruption, but as a general rule the southern venue is the obvious one.
Marketing claims and what English law will support
Brighton has a competitive aesthetics market and competitive marketing to match, which makes getting the regulatory position right more useful here than in most places. In England there is no licensing scheme in force. A departmental response on 7 August 2025 set out a three tier red, amber and green model with toxin and fillers in the amber tier, but that is a policy statement, not a rule you can comply with or breach. Nobody holds an English practitioner licence, so nobody can honestly advertise one.
Separately, and this one is law, the Botulinum Toxin and Cosmetic Fillers (Children) Act 2021 makes administering toxin or filler to an under 18 for cosmetic purposes an offence in England. There is also a wider advertising point that new practitioners consistently underestimate. Botulinum toxin is a prescription only medicine, and prescription only medicines cannot be advertised to the public at all, which constrains how you may describe your services in a way that does not apply to skincare or facials. Understanding that boundary before you build a website is a great deal easier than rebuilding one afterwards. The provider guide covers how to test the claims a course makes about any of this.
Informed clients and independent operators
Brighton’s economy leans heavily on creative work, hospitality and small independent businesses, and self-employment is ordinary here in a way it is not in most English cities. That produces two effects for a new injector. Clients are generally well informed, comfortable asking direct questions and used to choosing between independents on trust and personality rather than on brand. And your competition is largely other solo practitioners rather than chains, which raises the value of consultation skill and lowers the value of scale.
The city also draws people in from across Sussex and holds a substantial population commuting to London, which pushes demand into evenings and weekends. Expect price awareness rather than price insensitivity. Being the cheapest is a poor strategy in a market this crowded, and being the most explicable is a considerably better one.
Pricing in a crowded market
New practitioners in Brighton frequently open by undercutting everybody, which is close to the only strategy certain to fail. Low prices attract the clients who are hardest to satisfy, they make it uncomfortable to spend proper time on consultation, and they are extremely difficult to raise later without losing the very list you built with them. They also send a signal you do not want to send about a medical procedure. The sustainable approach in a market with this many independents is to charge a defensible rate, spend real time on assessment, and be willing to turn work away when a request is not clinically sensible. Clients here notice the practitioner who declines, and they talk about it afterwards. That reputation is worth considerably more than a full diary in your first few months.
Where to go next
If you are a registered healthcare professional with a prescribing arrangement already in place, the practical question becomes scope. Foundation work first, then a decision about whether more demanding techniques suit your intended practice, taken once your basics are consistent rather than while they are still new. The advanced course outlines that later step, and training prices sets out each stage so you can plan a whole route rather than a single day of it.
Our complete guide to foundation injectables training explains what you will be taught, who can enrol, and why prescribing status matters more than the certificate.
