Where physician associates stand
Physician associates are GMC-registered, which places you among the statutorily regulated professionals recognised in the JCCP’s framework. That matters twice over: it is the basis insurers underwrite against today, and it is the professional category England’s proposed licensing scheme is being designed around.
Prescribing, practically
PAs are GMC-regulated (since December 2024) and do not have prescribing rights, so a prescriber arrangement is required for toxin. Remote prescribing for cosmetic procedures is banned by every UK regulator, so whatever your arrangement, it is built on in-person consultations.
