Where doctors stand
Doctors are GMC-registered, which places you among the statutorily regulated professionals recognised in the JCCP’s framework. That matters twice over: it is the basis insurers underwrite against today, and it is the professional category England’s proposed licensing scheme is being designed around.
Prescribing, practically
Doctors prescribe for their own patients, which removes the sector’s main structural dependency. Remote prescribing for cosmetic procedures is banned by every UK regulator, so whatever your arrangement, it is built on in-person consultations.

Your general clinical confidence is an asset and a trap. Facial aesthetics rewards specific supervised repetition, so treat foundation training as skill acquisition rather than a formality.
The route
The Foundation Botox & Dermal Filler course is the entry point: online theory, then two supervised clinical days at a published 4:1 ratio with four to six models per delegate. From there, supervised cases, the Advanced course, and the Level 7 Diploma when you want the regulated credential. Any GMC-registered doctor can enrol on our injectables pathway. Foundation and Level 7 entry checks confirm registration and fitness to practise, and we verify evidence before enrolment rather than after payment.
No. You prescribe for your own patients after a face-to-face consultation. Remote prescribing for cosmetic toxin has been prohibited by GMC guidance since 2016, so build in-person consultations into your clinic model.
