Why we built a different kind of academy
Aurelia Institute exists because of a pattern we kept seeing: certificates that quietly meant “watched a demonstration”, course pages that hid prices behind sales calls, “hands-on” promises with no numbers attached, and regulation content written to sell rather than inform.
So we built the academy we would want to train at, on one governing principle: clarity before confidence. Every course page publishes its trainer ratio, model access, exact awarding body and assessment method, and states what the certificate does not qualify you to do. Our regulation guides are date-stamped and clinician-reviewed, and they admit uncertainty where it exists. Our fees are staged so your money is never all at risk.
The clinical system
Training here follows a five-stage model: eligibility review before enrolment, structured online pre-learning, supervised clinical application on live models, documented competency feedback, and post-course support with named faculty. The training day itself is the middle of that system. The end is safe, insurable, independent practice.
Two centres, one standard
London and Manchester run to the same published ratios and the same model clinic system, with faculty rotating between the two. For everywhere else we publish real travel guidance rather than pretend venues in every city.
What we ask of you
Verify us. Check our faculty registrations and ask for our awarding-body status in writing. Read the limitations on every course page too. An academy that publishes its numbers should expect its delegates to check them, and we do.
