Short answer

Medical malpractice or treatment-risk cover for the specific procedures you perform (minimum £1m indemnity is typical for injectables, often more), usually on a claims-made basis, which means run-off cover matters when you stop. Insurers demand evidence of training with supervised practice, and several no longer accept attendance-only CPD certificates.

The aesthetics insurance market is specialist. Mainstream professional indemnity rarely covers cosmetic injectables, so you’ll use dedicated providers. Expect them to ask for your qualification certificates, evidence of supervised practice, your prescribing arrangement (for non-prescribers) and sometimes complications training. Two traps we teach: claims-made policies leave you exposed after cancellation without run-off cover, and treating outside your declared procedure list voids more claims than clinical error does.
